What We Can Provide for Your Child in the Doncaster Area?

Inspire Childcare Centre in Doncaster offers a comprehensive Montessori program incorporating the Early Years Framework (EYLF) of the Australian Curriculum and the National Quality Standard. This supports your child’s holistic development from 6 months to 6 years. We provide a safe and nurturing engaging environment, empowering children to thrive and reach their full potential.

At our centre, a bilingual Chinese and English language program and a multi-sensory music program are part of the timetable. Environment and sustainability awareness activities are integrated into the curriculum. Additionally, we provide access to child-care subsidies and early start initiatives for eligible families. Under the Victorian Free-Kinder programme, families can also take advantage of the scheme to access free kindergarten.

Montessori Program

The Montessori approach to education inspires children towards a lifelong love of learning, following their natural development. In the Montessori method, children are introduced to different types of learning materials and are free to choose their work according to their interests. This method fosters independence among children. All Montessori materials and methods are carefully created to allow each child to progress at their own pace.  All classrooms cover the 5 areas of the Montessori programme, which are practical life, sensory activities, maths, language, and culture.

Kindergarten

Under the Government approved Montessori Kindergarten Program, our Doncaster childcare, provides a Kindergarten programme for all children enrolled from 3 to 6 years of age. The programme provides 7.5 hours of fun, learning activities. The children have the opportunity to explore their interests and be curious about the environment around them. They experiment with a range of materials and experience the world with their strengths and abilities.

Chinese Language Program

As Maria Montessori said, “The child’s sensibility to absorb language is so great that he can pick up foreign languages at this age.” At the Inspire child care centre in Doncaster, we expose the children to weekly Chinese language classes. The children improve their brain and memory function, broaden their language skills, and learn to understand cultural differences with the bilingual language program.

Music Program

Music is a multi-sensory experience that enhances learning abilities, encourages cognitive development and expands communication and imagination. At our Doncaster child care centre, we offer a comprehensive music program to help all children develop their love for music. Our music program is designed to be engaging, interactive, and culturally diverse, helping children develop a lifelong appreciation for music and its many elements.

  • Children learn about rhythm, melody, harmony, texture, form, and other elements of music by speaking, chanting, singing, dancing, moving, acting and playing instruments.
  • We introduce the Orff music approach with an element of play, which helps the children learn at their own level of understanding.
  • All new and traditional songs from around the world are taught in a mixture of English and Mandarin.

Sustainability Program

Inspire embeds the sustainability program within its curriculum and incorporates it into the day-to-day activities of the kindergarten.

An early childhood sustainability specialist guides and assists our educators and children in delivering and implementing the program.

We promote awareness of the environment through group discussions, classroom activities, healthy eating, gardening, and many more.  Both educators and children learn together about caring for the environment and showing respect for it.

Child Care Subsidy

Inspire ELJ, an approved childcare provider under the Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS) program, offers fee reductions to eligible families at our Doncaster child care centre. The subsidy is paid directly to providers, covering a portion of the childcare costs. Families are responsible for the remaining amount, known as the ‘gap-fee’. Eligibility is based on residency, immunisation, and income criteria. To apply, visit myGov, navigate to Centrelink, and follow the prompts to make a claim for the childcare subsidy. Contact us and we can help you submit your claim.

Early Start Program

Our Early Start Kindergarten funding program helps lessen the financial burden on parents when placing children in early learning kindergarten programs like ours. The eligibility for an early start varies according to each individual child’s age, level of understanding, and specific family background.  Additionally, other types of funding and grants are also available as assistance for parents.

Free Kinder Program

In 2024, free Three and Four-Year-Old Kinder will be available across Victoria at participating services, including long-day care and sessional (stand-alone) services. Free-Kinder means more Victorian children can have the best start in life, no matter where they live. Free Kinder means a saving of up to $2,500 per child each year.

Long day care centres will be required to pass on the full amount to parents as a direct reduction in their out-of-pocket fees, providing a free program for some families and a significantly reduced cost for others.
