Chadstone Excursion – Local Park
This week, our Chadstone children went on an excursion to the local park. They enjoyed the sunshine, the smell of freshly cut grass, and a discovery walk along the path in the beautiful park. Our little hands explored the native habitat, observing, touching and collecting all kinds of spring flora and other natural materials – Eucalyptus ficifolia flowers, dandelions, rocks, branches, leaves, etc. We did not forget to bring some gum tree leaves back to feed our leafy stick insects! Our little ones also had a lot of fun in the playground and tested their gross motor skills. On the way back, they also met a lovely family doing some gardening in their yard. Our children complimented their beautiful yard and got some flowers from the family, which is very touching! Making community connections adds so much meaning and depth to our children’s kindergarten learning experiences.
